...
Also ich messe 52 cm.

Who were RM in the first place, thinking they could make a better folding bike than brompton or dahon?A million dollar company doesent find a fix but you will…… jesus who are you?
How to improve a perfect thing?a better folding bike than brompton
Die WOLLEN keine Lösung finden.A million dollar company doesent find a fix but you will…… jesus who are you?
I am thinking more in fixing the current cable system instead of fitting a douze type of cable system. The actual system works flawlessly, smooth, fast and accurate. Wouldn't be possible to find a way to make it work? Even if check ups every 6 months are necessary? I am sure I am not the only one thinking about this. I had a douze before, and the system is good but not perfect either. I am very reluctant to put a 7k bike to the trash can, all the emission I saved riding a bike would be wasted. Could we document the problem as user?Who were RM in the first place, thinking they could make a better folding bike than brompton or dahon?
Almost everything can be improved. The question for companys is always: is it economical?
@tcapelle
I guess (not owning a packster, but having seen and test ridden them)
Fixing the cavle steering should be possible (i would try to copy other designs wich seem to work well)
But i guess the "looks" of the bike will change a bit at the steering column and the head set where the cables actuate tho fork. So it might look a bit DIY like, not like a 7k€ bike. That might be also a reason for the recall, not that there cant be a solution, but maybe no solution wich is opticaly acceptable for the customers and is still economical (especially considering the time it takes the bike shops)
I feel that this is the mood...They DO NOT WANT to find a solution.
I think that should be possible.Could we document the problem as user?
- what parts of the direction fails specifically:
Anruf beim Händler (große grüne Kette): "Haben noch nichts von RieseMüller bezüglich Abwicklung gehört. Bitte Montag nochmal versuchen."
My real question is how dangerours/complicated is the current packster 70? is it possible to fix? It may become a very desired item in the market if is discontinued and a fix is found. Loosing the warranty is not a big issue, as EU companies warranties are very short anyway (2 years). The bike has been so good for me that I am really thinking about this option. If a fix can be made, I am willing to take the risk.
A million dollar company doesn't find a fix which fits to their requirements / to the requirements of all users. But this doesn't necessarily mean that you can't find a fix for one single user. As long as we don't know the exact problem, it is pointless to speculate.A million dollar company doesent find a fix but you will…… jesus who are you?
