Load 60/75 Kinderverdeck - Better Poles Available?

For the second time, the fiberglass poles supporting the rain hood have split down the middle. I know RM will replace them, but it is still a hassle.

Are there any good alternatives someone has tried? Camping poles come to mind, but I wonder if they suffer the same problem with the tight curves.

Without any experience: I‘d try carbon fibre as used for kites.

These are 7mm.
