There isn't really a size limit for the box, I have had my wife and mother in the box who are both around 160cm, without any trouble at all. because the rear seat is slanted it pushes them forward around 10cm away from the bars so apart from the low speed three point turns etc they never get hit by the handlebars. the actual dimensions from the seat base to the top of arch are 51cm (this includes 4cm for seat foam pad but this obviously compresses a little). The total distance from seat to handlebars is 59 (but as per above this does not impact maneuverability) and finally, distance from bottom front of backrest to front of box is around 61 but this wont be a struggle, just depends on how much you can bend your knees.

My bike shop is proposing to replace my Packster 70 by a Winora FUB 2W.

I found no information on google. Only thing I know is that it features the same battery (Bosch Cargo Line 500Wh).

Anyone has an opinion on this cargo bike?

The price is much lower than my Packster70 (about €1,500 less) - I assume that I'll be losing a lot of good things, but I wonder which ones exactly.

Just managed to get the specifications of the Winora FUB 2W. I don't know a damn thing about e-bikes so I have no opinion. What are the main technical differences with my Packster 70?

Seems to be a badge engineered Raleigh Stride 2 which has been discussed in this forum as well. Batavus sells the same bike for 2022 MY as the FIER-2.

Raleigh

Seems to be a simple construction with especially bad rear dropouts.

Thank you for your help. The Winora FUB seems very similar to the Raleigh Stride 2 indeed.

Sorry to annoy you but what is a "dropout"? :)

I am extrapolating from its sibling, the Babboe.
The frame hast a single backbone and is parted about 20 cm from the Steering column for easier transport.
It is made from steel and flexes (much). It is rather overdimensioned (read heavy) than overengineered as the Packster. It hast a rod steering.

In short: apart from a Big wheel at the back und a small in the front they do not have much in common.

It is a "badge engineered" ,chinese Bike, hopped Up with a "chique" foam Box and a Bosch Drivetrain.

At a thousand less worth a thought, but not at that price and sure no even competition for the P70.

Thank you very much. Very useful. I might still buy it because it's much easier for me (it's the only cargo I can buy/maintain in my small town + I don't have energy to wait several months for another cargo). But at least I know the downsides of what I'd be getting :) danke.

By the way, the fact that is overpriced is not very relevant, as I'll be getting €7,000 from Riese & Müller as refund from my Packster70...

(first time in my life that I'm not happy that someone gives me €7,000...)

Ist's not a bad bike per se, I have been riding a Babboe City E (rear Motor) for 6 and a half years. It does work, but there are more attractive Bikes available. If it is the only available Option, it will work. Is a roof available?
